Preview of the Up coming season and new team line ups

With the 2017-18 season looming ever nearer, North Wales Knights pre season gets firmly underway for all squads.
This coming season sees North Wales with some new squads, some new faces on the coaching and management teams and a good number of National League newbies all joining some past season players alongside and under the ever experienced seasoned Knights Coaches.
With three National League teams, one debuting Women’s League team, a debuting U19s Junior League team and a returning British Junior League Champions U15s team, North Wales Knights are going all out in this coming season. Newly qualified coaches and new team managers, along with an array of developing talent throughout North Wales has enabled Knights to put forward 6 teams.
The Three National League teams are:
Knights 1, return to the National League, competing this year in Division 2 North. With WBNW Head Coach Mike Hayes named as both Coach and Knights Number 17 Player. Knights 1 boost seasoned players alongside players that have moved up from both K2 and K3.
Knights 2, Returning to National League to once again compete in Division 3 North. This year coached by Knights 1 number 10 player Peter Grimes. Knights 2 welcome back past players who are joined by past members of both K1 and K3.
Knights 3, Also return to National League, competing in Division 4, coached by Conwy Thunder Development coach Becca Hailstones. Returning K3 players are joined by a plethora of new debuting National League and previous Junior League faces.
North Wales Knights are proud to be able to play a Women’s League squad for the 2017/18 season, Knights Women will be competing in Division 3 and the squad is coached by WBNW head coach Mike Hayes and has an exciting combination of both seasoned players and new faces, who as a squad could be called, Keen, Noisy, Intelligent, Gifted, Hardworking and Sensational!
Knights this year also have a debuting team in the National Junior League with the Knights U19s, coached by Knights 1 number 11 player Rob Skupski. With the new Set up within the Junior league meaning the minimum age for U19s has been lowered, this has enabled the current U15s National Junior League winning players to join the Knights U19s squad alongside both new faces and current National League players.
With new players and coaches lining up for their first National League, Women’s League or Junior League debuts, the vest numbers have been allocated and there is excitement filling the North Wales air as we await the arrival of the Teams fixtures.
The North Wales voices are being warmed up, the banners and flags given an iron, the coaches are planning and the players are driving, dribbling and shooting through the pre season, all to deliver great basketball throughout the 2017/18 season.
